The University of Utah Seismograph Stations reports that a minor earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred at 06:45 AM on November 12, 2022 (MST). The epicenter of the shock was located 4.6 mi SW of Corinne, UT and 9 mi W of Brigham City. Over 100 people in northern Utah from Salt Lake City to Logan reported that they felt this earthquake. There have been 12 events ranging in magnitude from 1.0 to 2.7 since November 1 of this year, and one event of magnitude 1.2 after the mainshock. A total of 10 earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 or greater have occurred within 16 mi of the epicenter of this event since 1962. The largest of these events was a magnitude 3.9 on September 01, 2007, 9.1 mi SW of Tremonton, UT. An M 4.5 earthquake occurred on July 05, 1989, 11.4 mi WSW of Tremonton, UT within 32 mi of today’s event.
