Funding and Acknowledgments

Our core funding comes from the State of Utah for earthquake monitoring , research, and education and outreach in the Utah region.

We also receive major funding from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)-as part of ANSS-for regional and urban seismic monitoring of the seismically hazardous Wasatch Front urban corridor of north-central Utah as well as neighboring areas of the Intermountain Seismic Belt.

A separate and minor part of our funding from the USGS Volcano Hazards Program supports earthquake monitoring of the Yellowstone region as part of the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory.
